We are a family run business and value our customers very highly. purple-heart.com started in 2000 in a tiny shop in North London, we have grown a lot and now have two stores in Brighton. We are open almost every day of the year (we only close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Easter Sunday). We are open every day from 11am to 6pm (and 10am to 7pm Monday to Saturday at our North Street branch). If you have any special requests contact us and we will do what we can to help!

At the heart of the company you'll find Claudia Meynell, a mother of five. As well as overseeing the day-to-day running of purple-heart.com, she also is the creative force behind the business. Why are we called purple-heart.com?

This is definitely one for Claudia. She says the name comes from her most popular china design. Yes, we know if you study it closely you won't actually find any purple hearts (shh... don't tell her), but nevertheless, it is striking and resonant and we think it reflects our personality perfectly. You'll find both our shop and our website continue this design making us rather hard to miss.
